A?curtain?tie-back is a decorative window treatment which accompanies a cloth?curtain.
Perfect to hold back curtains when you want the sunlight to shine in, this opulent accent creates a unique drape on your windows.
These elaborate silky finish drapery tiebacks will make a dramatic finishing touch to any room.
Gather the?curtain?loosely and wrap the loop-end of the?tieback?around it one way and the?tassel-end around it the other way. Slip the?tieback?loop over the?tassel, arranging it to rest just at the top of the?tassel. Adjust the?curtain?and the?tassel?and do the same for the other?curtain.
Install two?3?4?inch (19 mm) cup hooks to?hold?your?curtain?tiebacks. You will need one hook for each side of your?curtains. These hooks usually screw into the wall easily.
Curtain tiebacks?help you control the amount of light in your room. Generally,?tiebacks should?hang one-third of the way up from the bottom of the?curtain. For example, if your?curtain?is 84 inches long, you would place the tieback about 28 inches from the bottom.
There’s no hard-and-fast rule, but I have found that roughly 85 to 90 cm (33 to 35 inches) from the floor is the perfect?height?for?tie–backs. Something to keep in mind: if you want a more tailored look, you may want to place your?tie–backs?slightly?higher?to reduce the swag effect.
In most cases, you’ll need to use a?tie back?with?grommet curtains. Measure to be sure you install this at the same height on each side of the window frame.
